University

Throughout the year, CBU hosts multiple trainings across the country, primarily in New England, called the “University”. The University is a 1.5 day event that instructs advisors on how to successfully host a Social Security Seminar and Asset Preservation Workshop. It’s also a networking opportunity for agents to meet CBU mentors and to observe our top producers actually host a live seminar. Yes, with real prospects in the room.

Mentoring

We recognize that all agents have different areas of expertise, which is why we believe in the team approach to get agents writing business faster. We offer mentors to agents that want to learn and grow while at the same time prosper. Agents that often time team up with our mentors:

  • A specialty agent (Medicare, Life, Health, P&C) with a book of clients that would like to learn how to cross-sell additional product lines: FIAs, life insurance or long-term care.
  • An advisor that offers products all across the board, from Health to Life to Annuities to Medicare. This is a diversified agent that is looking for a system or mentor to bring them to the next level. This type of agent is a prime candidate to host seminars with a mentor.
Monthly Producer Forums

On the third Friday of every month, CBU in partnership with Dale Carnegie has a long-time tradition of hosting a Producer Forum. Each forum is open to insurance and financial professionals and is jam packed with fresh sales ideas, personal development pointers and new product information. Widely received by our industry partners, our forum is a productive monthly meeting that you'll surely be glad you attended.

Advisor Training Center

The Advisor Training Center is a division of Combined Benefits United that addresses the educational needs of our agents. Through a combination of classroom style trainings, agent handbooks and online videos, the Advisor Training Center is designed to bring agents up to speed on any fundamental or evolving insurance concepts.

Each month, a new course will be added to the Advisor Training Center. Agents will have the opportunity to attend the live training event, which follows CBU's monthly Producer Forum (always the third Friday of each month). Courses will be recorded, and then posted online. Any associated manuals, handbooks or training materials will be provided as PFD downloads.

Webinars

Staying in touch with advisors is essential to success. That’s why our webinars play a fundamental role in how we communicate with advisors. Our experts, top advisors, carrier reps and development team all have a hand in hosting webinars. Advisors can register for webinars ahead of time or find them posted to the Contracted Agent Side of our website.

Training Videos
