Raymond Vallee, Jr.
Raymond L. Vallee Jr. is the President of Combined Benefits United, a graduate of Hall Dale High School, and attended Merrimack College.
Ray started in the insurance business in January of 1984 with Prudential Insurance Company as a Debit Agent. While at Prudential, he was a NEMO Rookie and Sophomore of the Year Contender, and won a number of company distinguished awards, along with an Academy of Honor. Ray was part of an office that finished as the 4th highest-producing staff in the country, right out of central Maine.
Ray became Employee Benefits Coordinator for a large PEO located in Lewiston, Maine, insuring over 1,400 employees with a comprehensive employee benefits program. It was there that he began his segue into the field marketing arena by developing strong relationships with many nationally known carriers.
Ray founded CBU as a field marketing organization representing a short list of insurance carriers. Over the past 15 years, CBU has grown to represent over 150 insurance carriers, doing business in 35 states with contracted insurance professionals across the country. During this time, Ray has become recognized on a national level for his commitment to detail, and for providing top investment products to advisors and consumers. With increasing, record-level sales each year, CBU has become a major player in the field marketing industry. Ray has attended multiple annual reward conventions and he says, “The greatest joy for me professionally is to see individuals and companies exceed their own lofty expectations for creating a balanced life of personal and professional successes."
Ray's values encompass the way he does business. Ray resides in Hallowell, Maine and is a member of the local YMCA. He is a former Board Member of the Augusta Little League and Augusta Babe Ruth League, along with having coached at the Jr. Varsity and Varsity Levels at Cony High School. Ray is an annual qualifier of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table, a current member of the National Association of Fixed Annuities, National Association of Insurance Advisors, and a Member of the Advisory Board for Washington National Insurance Company.
Raegan La Rochelle
Raegan LaRochelle assumes responsibility in contracting, new business, marketing, and advisor related services. Raegan is responsible for the alignment and prioritization of business partnerships and ensuring operational excellence across the company.
A native of Augusta, Maine, Raegan graduated from Cony High School and Bowdoin College. After college, she moved to Philadelphia to work in a business incubator. There, she helped to develop a youth entrepreneurship program that taught high school students how to write business plans and manage micro-enterprises. This experience reinforced her belief that small business development is central to the overall prosperity of local economies. Later, she obtained a Master of Business Administration from Yale University’s School of Management with the goal of working with small businesses and companies.
Raegan enjoys being an active member in her hometown community. She volunteers as Chair of the Augusta Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, and serves on the Kennebec Valley YMCA Board of Directors, the Augusta Board of Trade, and Augusta First. Her favorite volunteer activity, however, is coaching her twin sons’ soccer and basketball teams.
Jac Arbour is the Vice President of Combined Benefits United, where he also serves as the Managing Partner of the Life and Annuity Division. Jac was appointed Vice President in 2007. Jac is a native of Maine and since his childhood years, his entrepreneurial spirit has directed him toward a career in financial planning. He found his passion for the insurance industry after attending CBU’s annual fall retreat, all while still a senior in college. Since that day, Jac has continued to improve his knowledge of the business. His integrity and his no-pressure approach have granted him the opportunity to work with individuals across the country in the areas of income planning, estate planning, and life insurance.

Brian P. Heath
Brian P. Heath is a native of Maine and a graduate of Cony High School. He has been an active member in the community with the Augusta Kiwanis Chapter, Hope Group in Hallowell, and is co-founder of the Augusta's KVBC Networking Group. Brian is also a former varsity basketball coach for the Oak Grove Coburn School as well as at Cony High School. As a member of the Cynergy Mentoring program, Brian works regularly with students at the local High School to expand their horizons and provide them a link to the world of business.
For thirty years, Brian has worked as a sales consultant with business owners throughout Maine. Having come from a major account rep position in the business equipment industry, he is now a Licensed Insurance producer, specializing in Employee Benefits. Brian brings his consultative approach and years of experience with doing business in Maine to CBU. His ability to listen to client objectives and goals and to provide the right solutions are apparent in his everyday business dealings. With his two daughters, Brian has lived in Hallowell for over 23 years. From schoolwork to family excursions, nights and weekend priorities revolve around his girls. In his free time, it's shooting hoops, boating on the lake or just hanging with friends.

Juliet Kelsey-Holmes, CPC
Juliet Kelsey-Holmes has been the Recruiting Consultant for CBU since 2012. She works as an in-house recruiter for CBU while continuing to source and recruit top talent for her clients throughout the country for Martin Grant Associates, Inc.
Juliet has been a recruiter for the insurance and healthcare niches for over 16 years. After briefly working in Human Resources for AIG, Juliet went to work for Martin Grant Associates, Inc., a boutique Insurance Recruiting Firm with over 50 years of experience servicing the insurance community. She built their highly successful healthcare and financial services recruiting division, which she continues to manage while also working to promote the benefits of partnering with Combined Benefits United, Inc. to agents and agencies all across the country. Juliet finds the process of seeing the agents she’s identified to plug into CBU’s successful marketing systems, find the support and tools they needed to grow their businesses incredibly rewarding.
Juliet is a Maine native, graduating from Lincoln Academy High School, Newcastle, Maine and attained her B.A. degree from Wheaton College, Norton, Massachusetts. In 2000, she received her Certified Personnel Consultant Designation through the National Association of Personnel Services.
Stephanie is the Marketing Director at CBU, and she plays an instrumental role in developing marketing content and implementing sales strategies for agents. As the previous production manager for a Maine marketing company, she has extensive experience working with small businesses, government groups, and trade associations.
Stephanie graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Cultural Anthropology and has traveled the world from Africa to Antarctica. She came to Maine in 1999 to become a Registered Maine Guide and quickly developed a passion for showing others the uniqueness of Maine. Additionally, she is a marketing consultant for Fieldstone Media, previous co-host for the TV program The Maine Show, and a graduate of the Kennebec Leadership Institute.
Stephanie likes to travel, ski, hike with her dog, practice yoga, and run rivers with her husband, Kyle, and their two children, Sam and Izzy.
Shannon Ferran is the Office Manager for Combined Benefits United, and her incredible organizational skills keep our team running smoothly. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Hallowell office, including coordination of agent seminars, contracting and communication with the CBU management team.
Shannon has more than 17 years of professional experience in the customer service industry with an emphasis on employee management, personnel development, systems analysis and team building. She is a native of Millinocket, ME and received her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Maine Farmington in 1999.
In her spare time, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband, Andrew, and their two children Alice and Liam. She also loves being in the outdoors, as well as entertaining friends and family.
Shelby assists agents through the sales process for Combined Benefits United. She is responsible for running Social Security reports, annuity comparisons, illustrations and providing support to our Medicare agents.
Shelby grew up in central Maine and graduated from Gardiner Area High School in 2008. She is currently pursuing her degree in accounting from the University of Southern Maine. In her spare time, she enjoys being at her camp on Tacoma Lake, skiing, running, and spending time with friends and family.

Advisers work with Bob in several different areas; most notably you'll hear him on the other end of the line when you call the CBU office. Bob also assists agents that offer supplemental benefits by helping them manage claims, billing, newly added policies, terminations, and updates. Bob assists in the coordination of CBU events, provides seminar and marketing support, and works on the CBU social media pages.
A New England native, Bob grew up in New Hampshire where he worked in specialty retail and management. A published writer who is also the former Editor-in-Chief for an online satirical news website, Bob is an amateur filmmaker and avid movie collector. He and his wife recently relocated from Waterville to the capitol city of Augusta. They welcomed their first baby, son Gabriel, in February 2016.
For more than 30 years Tom has assisted hundreds of families and small businesses throughout Maine with insurance, retirement, and estate planning. He began his career with John Hancock Financial Services in 1980 and a few years later established an independent life & health insurance practice. Tom has earned the prestigious Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. He has spoken extensively to community and employee groups, and in front of numerous seminar audiences. He has also been interviewed on insurance topics by Kiplinger’s and Fortune magazines, the Boston Globe, and the Maine Matters television program.
He has served as a Continuing Education instructor for the Maine Insurance Agents Association and taught various insurance courses as an Adult Education instructor for several communities.
During Tom’s career he has witnessed the powerful and lasting impact of proper insurance and estate planning. Several of his clients have received insurance payments of $1,000,000 or more.
Tom is happily married with 5 amazing children, and 2 incredible grandchildren. Hobbies include motorcycles and playing bass guitar. Two short-term mission trips to India in recent years have been especially meaningful.
Susan Hopp is a national Social Security speaker and an Investment Advisor Representative who develops financial programs and insurance strategies designed to address the unique circumstances of our country’s growing mature population and their adult children. Her belief is that conservative asset management, asset allocation, and patience can help clients pursue their financial goals. Corenna Howard, Esq.
Ms. Howard was raised in Augusta, Maine, graduated from Franklin Pierce College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, graduated from Suffolk University with a Masters in Taxation and received her law degree from American University Washington College of Law. Upon graduating law school Ms. Howard worked in the Estate and Gift division of the Office of Chief Counsel Internal Revenue Service. She later moved to Maine where she now represents clients regarding Estate Planning and Elder Law issues.
Ms. Howard regularly represents clients in the preparation of their Last Wills and Testaments, Durable Financial Powers of Attorney, Advanced Health Care Directives, Living Wills and Trusts. Peter Deschamps is an educator and insurance professional who serves as a Financial Advisor for individual clients, families, and small business owners in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia areas. Van Mueller, LUTCF, is a Registered Representative with Mass Mutual. January 23, 2016, marks Van’s 43rd year as an insurance agent. He is an active member of MDRT having qualified for Court of the Table in 1990 and Top of the Table for the last twenty five years.
Van has served as an LUTC moderator in the past and is looking forward to doing so again. He also served as President of the Milwaukee Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors for the 1998-99 year. In the past, Van has served as Membership Chairman for both Milwaukee and the State of Wisconsin. Van also served on the Annuity Advisory Panel, the Middle Income Task Force, the Sales Idea Committee, and the Program Development Committee for MDRT. Van has served two 2-year terms on the Top of the Table board. He is currently serving as an appointed NAIFA trustee.
Van was awarded the Milwaukee NAIFA Distinguished Service Award for 2003. And in 2010 Van was the proud recipient of the A. Jack Nussbaum Distinguished Service Award for NAIFA – Wisconsin. Mike began his financial services career in 1984 as a home mortgage professional, along with earning his life, accident, and health insurance license in 1986, for the purpose of assisting his mortgage clients with their life insurance needs. In 1988, he founded Equity One Mortgage, Inc., a home mortgage lender that grew to 3 offices and 25 employees before being sold to a NJ based lender in 1995.
In recent years, Mike has worked as an agent for New York Life, Guardian Life, and various other insurance carriers, participating in numerous life training and educational forums. He is an Investment Advisor Representative and the owner of ProIncome, a retirement income planning firm based in Walpole, MA.
He is a 1984 honors graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and has been married 31 years to his wife, Lisa. They reside in Easton, MA where they have raised 3 children.
Mike has been active in his community, including serving as Chair of the Easton Recycling Committee, board member of Foundation for Excellence in Education in Easton, a youth baseball and basketball coach, and founder and president of the Sunday Morning Softball League.
